Issue:            ADDITIONAL RESOURCES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Justification
Governor's Recommendations 2022-23
The Governor's Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2022-23 includes $2,225,355, of which $56,797 is nonrecurring, in Working Capital Trust Fund budget authority to fund an additional 17 positions in the Office of the State Chief Information Officer. Florida Digital Service's key objectives include facilitating data interoperability, establishing an enterprise architecture, developing an enterprise data catalog and data dictionary, implementing Automation as a Service, performing project oversight of state technology projects, and strengthening the state's cybersecurity. These additional resources will provide additional technical, budgetary and operational support. This issue is a modified Legislative Budget Request.
