Justification
Governor's Recommendations 2022-23
The Governor's Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2022-23 includes $45,450, $5,450 nonrecurring in the Surplus Property Revolving Trust Fund within the Federal Property Assistance budget entity, to provide new software, databases, AssetWorks Asset Management Platform (AMP) updates, and license needs for streamlining and automation of the Florida State Agency for Surplus Property Program (SASP)processes. The enhancements will provide support to automate and streamline the SASP processes between GSAXcess.gov, AMP, SharePoint, and the in-house digital filing system, all of which will provide a better customer service experience and improve response times. Currently, AMP is supplemented by using numerous Excel spreadsheets, which is ineffective and does not allow for the compilation of data and for the ability to run reports to capture important data. Adding the software upgrades would auto-generate these tasks, saving staff time, creating efficiencies, and developing software that talks to each other. This issue was requested in the department's Legislative Budget Request.
