Issue: FIREFIGHTER PAY INCREASE

Justification
Governor's Recommendations 2022-23

The Governor's Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2022-23 provides for a pay increase for special risk firefighters
within the Florida Forest Service (FFS), effective July 1, 2022. This additional funding for the firefighters will help
reduce the turnover rate and enable the department to retain critical expertise.
