Justification
Governor's Recommendations 2022-23

The Governor's Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 includes General Revenue funding for increased water
quality monitoring, support for the Blue Green Algae Task Force and the Office of Environmental Accountability and
Transparency (OEAT), and the water quality information portal. Ensures water quality data is more readily available to
decision-makers and the public. The Blue Green Algae Task Force will continue to identify solutions to the harmful algal
blooms and ensure that those solutions are implemented expeditiously.
